Is this amount of exhaust steam normal at 6 celsius?

My Scorpio Cosworth, which has a similar size engine to an ST220, puts out about the same condensation even if warm.

It looks like a fair amount of steam but nothing to worry about IMO. The dew point of the air can cause a massive difference to how much water vapour you see.

I used to know the numbers behind the volumes of water produced during combustion but these days I struggle to remember what I had for breakfast :o I remember thinking it was a surprisingly large amount though.

It's weird how some cars produce so much of it. The Jags I've had all produce a huge amount of it, even when warmed up. I used to get nervous about it thinking there must be a problem but turns out they're just like that

My celica is quite bad for it until its warmed up. They idle really high when cold so that makes it worse lol.

My Celica gives massive clouds of it from cold. Coming out of the junction from my street anyone behind me gets temporarily blinded by the cloud between shifting from first to second :D.

My E30 and MX5 both barf out massive steam clouds until the engine is warm (E30 is worse).

As has been said above, sitting still idling for ages won't help matters, you need to get it up to temp by driving it.
