Hi all,

I don't know if its just me not noticing it before or what but my PSU is making a light buzzing noise. Its a BeQuiet 650W Power Zone. I'm not running any GPU so the PSU cannot be under too much stress.

I'm running 3 x AF120s, 2 x AF140s and 2 x SP120 on the cooler. I only have 2 of the AFs switched on aswel as the 2 x SP120. The buzzing noise is the only noise the PC makes if it wasn't for that the rig would be silent :( Obviously when I switch to 290 then things will change but surely the PSU should be completely silent.

Does anyone think it could be a problem or is a light buzzing noise acceptable?

Thanks

Are you sure it's the PSU ?...I'm asking cos i had a buzzing issues a short time back ...thinking is was the PSU I got a new one....then realized it was the case that was buzzing

Does it sound like an electrical buzz?

Yes an electrical buzz would be the best way of describing it. I havent noticed it before.

The noise is there but when I put my ear near the PSU its coming from that.

Very much sounds like a cap buzzing! If you really want to do something about it, contact CS, assuming you bought it from here, and see if you can RMA.

I was getting Coil Whine on my Corsair HX 850 and sent it back to them and they replaced it with the HX 850 v2 so you might just get the same sort of service from Bequiet hopefully.
