Is this build any good?

I was just looking for any opinions / advice / improvements on this build me and my friend made.

We would also like to know if it would be worth overclocking as well and if so is the build supportive enough for overclocking?

Looks good...How about a six core for the little extra? the extra 2 cores are worth it now if not in the future.
EDIT:If you dont need the extra 2 cores or want to pay the extra like Stulid says just go for the 955 as the H50-1 will be more than capable of getting it to 965 and beyond!!

not a bad attempt.

save money by picking the 955be CPU.

and do you want crossfire in the future?

I'd be tempted to change the 5770 for a gtx460.
Much better performance for an extra few quid.

I'd also change the HD to a samsung f3 - it's faster.

samsung F3 drives have issues with the 8 series chipset, which requires a firmware flash.

and its not really faster.

We will be using crossfire X in the future.

The purpose of the PC is for gaming (not extreme) @ a low price.

How is the Nvidia GTX 460 better than the 5770?

for crossfire, you need a 890GX/FX chipset board- http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-251-GI&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1782 to do it correctly.

and a GTX460 is much faster than a single 5770, if you decide to get a nvidia card, then dont bother changing the motherboard, as no AMD chipset supports SLI

the board you selected, like most of the lesser chipsets, only run the second pci-e slot at 4X speed, while the first slot gets 16X, this limits the second cards speed/bandwidth.

the 890GX or more expensive FX chipset divide the available bandwidth up equally betwwen the two slots, so 8X/8X for the GX or 16X/16X for the FX.

these boards do crossfire but dont have sata and usb3.0
