Is this (can this?) be suitable for a large high quality print?

Bigger box!
Hi all,

After some advice from someone more in the know about image resizing and printing please.

I've found an image I'd really like to print and frame.
I'd like the image itself to be about 24 inches across by whatever high.

The image itself is a .jpeg Which I know isn't ideal for blowing up.

Can anyone tell me whether the image as it is, is high enough quality to be blown up that large without looking crap?

I've found it for sale on Redbubble.com but the fighters have been colourised and it's made an awesome old pic look tacky!!

For those interested, it's a snap from 1913 of the end of a fight between two guys named Roy Campbell and Dick Hyland. I don't know much about either guy, just think it's an incredible pic...

JPEG is fine for blowing up. I regularly have that image format printed and framed. It's all down to the compression used. Obviously 100% quality (no compression) JPEG will yield the best results.

That image will be fine for A2 print size. The source photo is grainy anyway, so definition won't be lost regardless, it will look fine.

Blinding, thanks!

Plenty of places will blow it up and frame it, but does anyone have any good experiences or recommendations for anywhere in particular?

Loxely - you can thank me later.

They wont be the cheapest - but I guarantee you they'll be the best. ;)

The wooden box and print USB set for weddings looks amazing. Nice one for that link, would have probably not seen it otherwise

Been looking for a product to replace the Loktah stuff!
