Is this dangerous?

Quite agree with Stulid. There is no way I would accept that and would also want a refund plus return postage costs. I know it's EVGA so the warranty is transferable but if you had to RMA it to them to get it fixed their RMA centre is in Munich so would cost you a bit to send it to them.

Yeah I agree with the above comments "like new"- not really.

Poor form there. I personally wouldn't trust it and would seek a refund.

Thanks for the feedback guys, Journey is a top notch MM member from his feedback and his comms this far.

I have asked for a refund and return. Thanks for helping me out with this guys. Didn't quite realise how bad it could be.

Check the SATA cables to make sure the plastic socket has not come off and stuck on one end of a cable.

To be fair you need to read this post before putting negative comments.

I've replied to your e-mail.

I am trying to arrange an RMA with EVGA, just checking if this is covered. Once confirmed I will arrange a collection from you to EVGA, otherwise I'll be paying 3x the postage costs.

Still baffled as to the damage to be honest, since when last checked it was perfect, and only been used for a few hours, and that port had never been touched.

Oh well, we'll get it sorted either way. :)

Hi, just RMA the unit. As it is brand new we will also cover the shipping cost for this so there is no extra cost and risk for you. You need to register it to your EVGA Account and drop an email to [email protected] with the information of the missing part out of the box then we will open a RMA on this.

I have noticed some things like this starting to creep in to the mm people need to be totally above board about things.

A guy sold me a gpu that didn't even work at it's stock clocks I had to set it down 20mhz, stuff like this does my head in the mm is fantastic why ruin it by being economical with the truth.

If something has an issue point it out don't try to pull a swift one.

Or mention it in your rating, give a neutral or negative I guess. However this one doesn't seem to be intentional. The seller seems to be helping out so I don't thing we should "name and shame".

Thanks for the feedback guys, as I said Journey has been very helpful, and it seems like a genuine oversight.

We have come to an agreement on refund etc.

Now.. as for the replacement, does anyone have any class leading quiet PSUs they can recommend?

I was thinking of the seasonic range, or bequiet, but seems like we don't have many bequiets in stock :(

It needs to be powerful enough to power my 780tis in SLI and a 3770K, any suggestions welcome :D

To be fair - I've had stuff before that I've been able to get a decent OC out of in my systems and then given/sold it to someone else and they've not got it to run more than a couple of mhz over stock stable :S but yeah its a shame if people abuse the MM.

@waspy88 I'd highly recommend Seasonic or anything based on that from my experience - I've never even heard my 860 Platinum.
