I've got a 250GB USB powered Toshiba external hard drive that I'm trying to backup.
It was originally formatted and loaded with files on a vista laptop but after having one particularly large folder (22GB, 3,500 files) loaded onto it the laptop won't recognise it.
I'm able to access the hard drive using my macbook, I can see and access all the files I've tried so far. But when trying to copy the content onto my laptop's hard drive it gets stuck. It'll copy a few files, then reach a corrupted file and stop, then when I try to copy something else the copy speed drops to almost nothing and the hard drive makes a clicking noise.
I've tried using Disk Utility to repair the drive but it's had no effect.
Anything I can try to fix this or is it beyond repair?
