...is this for real...?

Looks tidy, but 700bhp?! really? I doubt...

Although dont quote me on it, Im not sure what's really achievable from these engines.

Looks legit

Audi S3 - TTRS 5 Cylinder

Starting with a standard S3, we removed the stock 1.8 turbo and fitted it with the new TTRS 5 cylinder engine. Having rebuilt it with forged internals, an uprated clutch, a Garrett GT3582r and a selection of custom parts.

We started tuning and quickly saw milestone after milestone broken, 400bhp, 500bhp, 550bhp all came about with relitive ease. We then pushed onto 600bhp, 650bhp and then onto a monsterous 700 BHP.

Along with the massive upgrade in power we also fitted this car with our Full 3" S3 exhaust system, brembo brake upgrades, bilstein suspension and a Wagner Tuning full size front mount intercooler.

Pretty poor ad for something that has had extensive work done and claiming big bhp.

Sounds legit, but with 700bhp it's hardly going to be safe to drive lol, can you say torque-steer?

So if the stock TTRS engine is 350bhp, the turbo must be giving a lot of that extra? Won't this suffer from a bit of turbo lag - or will it be a twin turbo job?

Will be Legit, we've had the TT Shops Demo car at work for development a couple of times and thats running 650bhp IIRC.

All I can remember as far as mods we're a Loba turbo, Water/Methanol injection and I'm assuming standalone managment as it has no MAF sensor.

I was deeply dissappointed at not being allowed to drive it even though my bosses all got to take it for a spin

I'd pay £15k for that if I had it but £22k is puching it a bit.

I am interested however in the torque steer comments, I didn't think you got torque steer in a 4wd ?

I'm likewise interested. Thought this was a FWD issue?

Don't think of it as 4wd... Think of it as fwd+rwd... If it's a 50/50 torque split, that's half the power/torque going to the front wheels and the front diff is unlikely to be central in this old system = torque steer.

The Audi 4x4 system used in these cars (Haldex) is not a true (permanent) 4x4 system like that is used in Scooby's and Evo's.

The rear wheels only get power when the front's detect slip etc....
