Now it's not unusual for me to have this many tabs open at any one time:

Sometimes more, depending on what i'm researching. Therefore my question is this; where does it end? Does anyone have more?

I had 64 tabs open last night, so meh.

Remember when we had to have one per window? How did we manage :rolleyes:

But yeah, windows sound like a good idea - one for forums, one for media and one for research, thanks for the suggestion.

I can't stand having loads of tabs or windows open, even over two monitors. I loose track of whats open

Meh, usually i have between 20 and 30 minimum. Harder to spot Pr0n tabs that way.

Ha, i switch it between having forums first or facebook first, all the forums stay together and OCUK is always first in that group. Then it's stuff like youtube, grooveshark, ultimate guitar... it's when i'm googling something and it ends up with me opening a ton of tabs marked in my mind as 'read later' that i get irritated by it.

Firefox 4 has tab groups (press CTRL+SHIFT+E or click the drop-down arrow at the top right) which essentially lets you group your tabs however you like and hide unrelated ones.

I'm doing some work at the moment so I have 18 tabs open (not all related to work). A lot of the time I'm too lazy to close my tabs down and just open a new one to do something.

At work it is even worse, I tend to have several windows open (IE, Firefox, and Chrome) with many tabs in each.

At work I usually start off like that but end up with 3 or 4 lines of tabs. This in only on a 1024x768 screen though. Most of the PCs I use are on 1920x1080x2 but I only have one that is on the main network and we have 2 seperate networks. Even at 4 lines, it's often unreadable with only the icon and 1 character showing. The other thing is, much of it is in-house databases so they have the stock MS-Access icon

I have 3 open permanently, regardless of whether I'm at the computer or not.

Then when I'm browsing I'll still only have an extra 1-5 maximum.

87 tabs open. Benefits of 8GB ram, FF is using 3GB alone.

I tend to mix across two or three windows with opening links in tabs etc Don't know why. Not that it really matters.

Not really, the kids at my college all browse the net with like 20 tabs + which me or the other older guys cant do.
