So i am thinking of building a PC, This is what i came up with for parts, just want to know whether this is good and any comments would be appreciated.

-Asus P6X58D-E Intel X58 (Socket 1366) DDR3 Motherboard (or Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD5 Intel X58 (Socket 1366) DDR3 Motherboard)

-Intel Core i7 920 2.80GHz (Bloomfield) (Socket LGA1366)

-Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 5850 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

-Corsair Reactor 120GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive

-Corsair XMS3 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 (1600MHz) Tri-Channel

-OCZ ModXStream Pro 700w Silent SLI Certified Modular Power Supply

-Antec 900 Nine Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case - Black

-LG CH08LS10 8x BluRay ROM / 16x DVD±RW Drive - Black (OEM)

-Noctua NH-U12P SE2 Dual Fan Quiet CPU Cooler

Any Parts i missed or any comments at all. Thanks in advance.

Budget around 1300 Pounds, prefer lower, but could go a bit higher, will be buying end of summer, but need to know now how much to save, so here we go. all above totals up to 1100 Pounds (or 1250)

First of all, your using a socket 1366 motherboard with a socket 1156 CPU, so better change either the motherboard or the CPU depending on what you want to do.

Instead of the GTX275, you should go for a ATI Radeon 5850 graphics: not only does it run faster, but cooler and uses less power.

The rest seems reasonable, just have to read up some reviews so you can get the best for your money when you come to buy!

If you want to drop the price, it might be worth going for a normal HDD with a higher capacity mate. The price drops and to be honest, once a game has loaded, the main strain is on the GPU, RAM and CPU so the HDD won't make that much of a difference once things are loaded.

Just another cost-saving suggestion :)

Oh yeah, noticed that

put down the wrong one. i mean this one
Intel Core i7 930 2.80GHz (Bloomfield) (Socket LGA1366)

thanks for the spot.

yes mainly gaming

On the note of SSD's, my friend bought one and he has seen big improvement in speed of start up and normal use of PC, so i think i will stick, obviousely depending on whether i will have the amount i need at the time, so will keep in mind this could be big cut in price. (thanks to Ph4lanx for suggestion)

GPU - would probably go for Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 5850 1024MB GDDR5 (thanks to teddy3578 for suggestion, read a few reviews and 5850 is much better than the one i went for)

and lol at PraxxtorCruel comment

One suggestion is the i7 920 OEM and titan fenrir cooler, both items together are £40 cheaper.

I would change a few things firstly different mobo, and ram and also you could get a different gpu.

Asus ATI Radeon HD 5850 DirectCU 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £248.99

Not 100% sure but I think you can change the volt with these cards and get a nice overclock on them.

OCZ Obsidian 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600Mhz Triple Channel Kit (OCZ3OB1600LV6GK) £114.99

Just as good as the ram you spec'd and Its abit cheaper.

Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Intel X58 (Socket 1366) DDR3 Motherboard £156.98

Finally that mobo is just as good as the one you spec'd or better and it saves you even more.

All good suggestions fallen god, but I don't think the UD3R is that great if you're looking to go crossfire/sli as lots of people have said the cooler or whatever can get in the way making it impossible.
