Is this immoral?

I wouldn't say it was immoral in the same way that aggressive tax avoidance is immoral - once you've paid your taxes you can buy anything you want imo. It is classless though.

You mean the corrupt charities? And anyway, Jimmy Savile gave to charity, and we all know what he was now.

I dont mean any particular charity..Im asking you if you know his financial info and whether or not he helps the poor? I dont know, i assume you dont either and therefore its hard to judge one way or the other.

Im not saying giving to charity makes someone a good person, but it does answer the point you raised in your first post re: poverty people.

The money isn't "lost" when he spends it - it goes into other people's pockets. Why aren't those people giving it to charity? Or is it because it's one man with a lot of cash it makes him an easy target?
