sorry im not a complete internet guru/nerd like yourself. (sorry i picked on you, same goes for others)

Also a heads up for anyone else who may get one of these malis

It's nothing to do with being an "internet guru/nerd", infact it's common sense.

Do you think your bank would contact you by email to "verify information"? Secondly, when you hover over the link and it's different to your normal banking address did you not think something was up?

Poor excuse for not taking the time to read through the email and pick up on some very fundamental errors...

exactly. from the halifax website:

* First and foremost, Halifax would never send you an email asking you to verify your secure online banking details. Any email asking you to 'verify your account', 'confirm your sign in details', or using a similar form of words, is certainly a scam.

Heh, if you click the home link in the top right corner of the phishing page, it takes you to the Halifax homepage - when I did this, there was a GIANT ORANGE BANNER at the bottom telling you to beware of email scams :p

I just checked my hotmail to see the emails below. Before I send all my 4 banks my details, can anyone tell me if it's likely all my banks would send me emails like this all in one day?

:p hehe
