The reason is ask is: SpeedFan is reporting the drive health @ 57% ( ) and the performance at 94 (I guess there wouldn't be much difference between 100% performance an 94% performance.
Now the problem is the drive doesn't give any errors in the Maxtor tests, so I can't RMA it to Maxtor
Anyways, I do regular backups so hopefully I'll be alright until I get a new PC

I guess it is pretty much average speed, as in HDTach it pretty much matches up to the compared SATA150 drive...
Would Maxtor RMA a drive on a SMART report? Or would they only take an actual error code?
