http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-425-GI&groupid=701&catid=1903&subcat=2399
with a zalman t1
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-045-ZA&groupid=2362&catid=736&subcat=

would save about 30pounds or something to

And the processor would work fine with that mobo? Sorry, not really technical with this sort of things - i'm a programmer, not an engineer :p

Lies!!!!

I never spec that case......I hate it....oh wait you changed it that makes more sense lol

Someone will say the RAM is too slow but it should OC to 2133mhz or just get the Adata kit for a little more. PSU is modular for a little more and is in stock.

I said I made changes to the case :D

It's not so much that the case is ugly but it lacks USB3 ports and has poor cable management. Only comes with one fan (granted that Shinobi does too but has USB3), look at the Xigmatek Asgard Pro for a cheaper alternative but it's not in stock

ok, ok, i'll pay extra and get the one you suggested first :)

yeh both fm2, tho no sata3 which is kinda lame for 2013
would only matter if you added a ssd later

Case is personal preference fella. I've used the Merc Beta (quite some time ago now) and I wasn't really impressed with it, for the price you can do better for sure.

The Zalman Z9 plus is on offer for £40ish, I own that, it also lacks USB3 ports but has a fan controller, 4 fans (3 led blue), digital temp display and an extension for the P4/8 aux power cable from the PSU so you can route it behind the mobo tray. I actually use the Z9 U3 a lot when I do budget gaming rigs which is the improved version with USB3 and a proper window........sadly it's not stocked here.

My choice has plenty of sataIII ports and HDMI output too......people need to stop tinkering with my specs ;)

I think i'd rather have usb 3.0, since I have been putting off transferring 1tb+ of data for a long time now. would speed it up a bit

lol ur build is also huge for something that shouldnt be much bigger than a laptop ><

I had an old card reader in mine for the front 3.5 inch bay, sold it on and changed to one with a USB3 port to get round the case not having USB3......when there is a will there is a way lol

Good luck with the build fella :)

You spec a mini-itx build then. Just because the IGP is gaming capable doesn't mean he won't want to add a dedicated GPU down the line. The mini-itx mobo will cost more, have fewer sata connections and PCI lanes. I never spec the A55 mobos for Llano or Trinity, each to their own but most people seem to like how I balance things out. There is a A85 mATX mobo but it's only literally a couple of quid cheaper, so I'll stick with the full sized ATX

I will go with your exact spec. I see you specing people all the time. you must have the knowledge - or at least the confidence to pretend you do :D

I will definitely add a dedicated GPU later on. So a big case is needed.

I know nuthing......I come from Barcelona ;)

There is always a little wiggle room fella, it's a custom build after all. I do try and keep things looking tidy and well spec'd, sadly I often go over budget a smidge but I do try to explain why

I didn't really have a budget. My girlfriend doesn't understand why I don't just get a tablet. Programming and gaming on a tablet...fun ;)

I also trust you because you live near me. If anything goes wrong...i can find you :D

How on earth would you game and programme on a tablet, a laptop is bad enough :p

I don't think theres anything to improve on Hono's spec :) Other than pointless mobo fanaticism ;)

EDIT: Hono I think he means he lives near kent not that he comes from Barcelona ;) And your molly??

You from Barcelona too? ;)

Yeah I can see why she likes them. Personally my molly does what I need on the go that the tablet does and then I have my HTPC and work rig for more serious tasks

Exactly. I've gotten used to programming on one, but the annoying touch pad that I can't turn off (without registry editing)
Looking forward to getting a nice pc, just like the old days before I decided it would be good to get a laptop. (i convinced myself I would need it for moving about, It hasn't left my desk in 3 years)

And yes, Kent. :)
