Following on from my thread here - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17577256

I've had another thought but not sure if it would work...

Is it possible using some sort of script to somehow publish my internet IP address to a webpage? Maybe if it could automatically check and update the IP address every few hours?

Can anything like that be done?

You thought of using no-ip? Combine that with the PHP function of gethostname (Something like that) and it'll print ya IP address

What're you trying to do? It's nice and easy to work out the IP address of your dyndns address

I just need some way of finding out what the IP is from when I'm away from home.

Either by it being published to a webpage when it changes automatically or by using dyndns like has been suggested in my other thread.

Your dyndns domain will be refreshed and point to your IP, but you can find out the actual IP address by punching your dyndns domain into here:

http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/lookup.ch?name=something.dyndns.org&type=A
