Hi.
My mate had an idea on venturing in something before asking for advice for a professional help and consulting and he is not with his ass stuck in the breeze.
He thought of setting up large LCD screens in cafe and bars and other various places where ads will be displayed. After coming to me asking me how he could pull this off i told him i have no idea of what choices there are to connect many monitors with a console or either a PC to send a singal to various monitors.
My question is, can this be done? A simple but very expensive solution would be having 1 PC for each monitor or 1 PC that sends a different signal to each monitor or another idea was hooking each TV with an Ipod displaying stuff from there but there should be more practical ways of pulling this off.
My friend told me he justs wants the video to be displayed and he has no intent of streaming audio through the monitors.
Thanks for your help in advance.

How many is many monitors? Different ads per screen? Or just replicated? On a system with 3x pci-e x16 slots you can get 3x dual head graphics cards. Im pretty sure you can get port repeaters for video too.

Thanks for the replies.
I was thinking of having up to 8 screens. I don't mind if all the monitors show the same thing. What is a must is wireless transmission of the singal either through a PC or device.
Thanks again.

there are companies that do this - in our hospital they supply a sff shuttle plus a large lcd tv free of charge, fit it, then display a combination of local adverts, nhs adverts and departmental information. this is only to a single screen at a time though.

try your local place that sells tvs as they often have a single source outputting to all their screens at the same time.....
