Wanting to put my router upstairs as that is where most wireless devices are and for some reason i can only get 1 or 2 bars.

I don't want to go and remove all cables and find out this won't work.

Going from my Superhub (modem mode) - Switch (DGS-1005D) - cat6 cable upstairs - ASUS RT-N66U

Also connecting my main PC & home server to the switch and my HTPC to the ASUS RT-N66U upstairs.

hope this makes sense.

cheers

Of course, was a late night. :)

OP the wireless range on the RT-N66U will be miles better than the Superhub anyway.

thanks for the replies, i have the Asus RT-N66u setup now downstairs and still have a poor signal upstairs ... also have merlin fw installed. Have had it running for about 6 months with good wireless until now.

Does the Superhub 1 have gigabit ethernet ports? as i could set the Superhub as a router and move the RT-N66u upstairs.

Why not Superhub, not in modem mode, then switch, then RT-N66 set in repeater mode?

EDIT: Whoops, not repeater mode, it's Access Point mode that you want :p.
