Race is a product of society & culture, not just a part of it. To repeat, the biological idea of race is not based on science:
There is massively more biological variation within a 'race' than between one and another. What does this tell you? That demarking people on the grounds of their skin colour makes perfect sense? Or that it comes from people's ideas, i.e. it is a social construct?
I don't see you arguing against this. A dictionary definition gives the meaning of the word as it is commonly held - I am telling you about the reality behind the concept of race. And the reality is, race has no biological basis.
Here's that link again. It represents a consensus of U.S. anthropologists. A good book about our country, if you're interested, is Black British, White British by Dilip Hiro. This is a work of history, so it tries very hard not to be ideologically biased; I think it achieves this as much as is possible.
Race is part of our culture, but race is just to do with physical properties, nothing more, nothing less. Stop trying to make it so.
Definition:
1. group of humans: one of the groups into which the world's population can be divided on the basis of physical characteristics such as skin or hair color
2. fact of belonging to group: the fact of belonging to a group of humans who share the same physical features such as skin color
To try and make race anything more than that is describing culture.
Race is a product of society & culture, not just a part of it. To repeat, the biological idea of race is not based on science:
Evidence from the analysis of genetics (e.g., DNA) indicates that most physical variation, about 94%, lies within so-called racial groups. Conventional geographic "racial" groupings differ from one another only in about 6% of their genes. This means that there is greater variation within "racial" groups than between them.
There is massively more biological variation within a 'race' than between one and another. What does this tell you? That demarking people on the grounds of their skin colour makes perfect sense? Or that it comes from people's ideas, i.e. it is a social construct?

In other words as long as you don't mean it in a horrible way and just mean it as a bit of a laugh, who cares if it's slightly offensive. Now calling a black man "slave" and treating him as if he is below you as far as human rights are concerned is utterly wrong, but having a joke should just be seen as that. FFS This PC issue is the problem with the country, not racism
I think I'm gonna sue all those that call me "Lanky" as I'm tall. I hate that word although it essentially just means tall, and if they're pakistani I'll use "****", as they probably don't like that word though it's just short for pakistani
