I've have known people who have had this clause, although I don't, and they normally have it with a pro-rata (?) weighting so after 1 year you'd have to pay back 50% after 18 months 25% etc ...
Whether I agree with it .... to an extent although I think that it should be 1 year not 2.
These will be my terms:
·Full refund of xxx's contribution to training costs recoverable in the event that the employee leaves within 9 months of last day of training.
·75% refund of xxx's contribution to training costs recoverable in the event that the employee leaves between 9 and 18 months of last day of training.
·50% refund of xxx's contribution to training costs recoverable in the event that the employee leaves between 18 and 24 months of last day of training.
