Set CPU affinity to single core, i think it may help too.

Ok, I admit I didn't read that your new pc is a prebuild, and that's my mistake. However you only mention it in passing on the 8th post of this thread. I never realised I had to be so thorough.

However I would rather make the mistake of not reading a thread properly then not reading up on the specifications of a computer that was supposed to be an upgrade to my old one.

Especially when merely upgrading just the graphics card on the old machine would have enabled me to save money AND have a far better gaming experience.

What was going cheap? It could have meant the parts listed in the specs! Like I said, my mistake. :rolleyes:
