Is this technically theft?

With the intention to permanently deprive...

So if you pooped in her letterbox later (say 4-6 hrs) then technically you havent perm....

getting 28 cans of catfood for the price of one due to a pricing error is fair game. going back and buying the rest of the shelf is dishonest but not theft as the price in the till is the price you agree to pay.

I see this the same way, if the price is 10p the price is 10p if it irks you that much let the company know. Allthough they will work it out when the machine is tracking a £5 LOSS EVERY DAY.

Seems fair game to me. But a bit lame if its just one person hoarding it all.

I used to work night shift in a supermarket there was a lot of theft going on there. It ranged from people adding club points to their cards helping them self's to scratch cards, cds and games. People helping them selfs to whatever food or drink they wanted for their breaks. People would even get drunk i often found empty beer cans stuff laying around.

not really. he used cheaper fares on expensive fares intentionally

i put some coins in the car park ticket machine then i press some buttons (includes the cancel button) and it would reject all coins and print out the ticket. its a software bug .

Yeah that's likely to be a fraud offence. What you're doing isn't any better.

No wonder that guy was fare dodging if his train expenses is 3k a year.

I remember a drink vending machine at college that would drop multiple cans. My friend told me about it but I didn't believe him so after the lecture we went over and I put my 50p in and ran my hand down all the buttons and out dropped 4 cans. He started laughing and said jackpot. The machine is right next to reception which was occupied at the time, no idea how it didn't raise suspicion.

What I really hate are parking meters that don't give change which is all of them at my local shopping precinct. 70p for an hour and I don't have correct change so have to drop in a quid. It was only the last time I went there and I actually read the small print that I found out it doesn't give change. I must be owed at least 20 hours of free parking.

he's paid enough to cover those expenses though,

you don't take a job in London without knowing the cost of travel.

For me to take a job in Manchester it would probably cost 3k a year in travel (if I include wear and tear insurance etc maybe more) and another 1200 in parking. I would factor that into my Wages or I wouldn't take the job......

If your selection gets stuck on the edge so you shake the machine to get it out but 3 other things fall into the tray too, is it theft to take them? Or is it considered compensation for the vending machine being crap heh
