So, what's better for xbox 360 on a 32" lcd - 720p or 1080i?

I guess progressive but I dont have a clue... Would either have a benifit?

Definitely 720p. It's what the 360 natively renders at, it's closer to the LCD's native resolution and it's progressive, which is what you always want for gaming.

Yes, it will just be downscaling the image.

What your TV accepts and what it displays are TWO different things.

Yes it might accept 1080i but it wont display it without downscaling.
