Yeah I will never, ever, ever pay for subsciption gaming and hardware, ill just play all old games - pretty much only play FAF anyway!! lol

I'd be willing to say yes, yes it would be okay, I've got a 1gb connection. I realistically get 900mb upload and download. I can now get 5gb in my area.

I've tried it over wifi and accidentally tried it over a VPN and it was kind of ok, it wasn't as flawless. Going forward with faster internet, better wifi etc I don't see why it would struggle to support multiple gamers if required.

PC gaming is only getting poorer and poorer though, consoles are only going to get stronger. Be interesting to see how long it takes for GTA to come out on the PC.

true to certain extent, though pc will be the pinnacle of gaming for a good while yet, more to gaming than AAA games, then theres you cant use this/that on a certain console, then some games just dont work on consoles. the master race is still here

dont play them. if people dont buy them. the devs will either make it for the available hardware that most people have or go out of business. simple.

developers dont optimize the same way they used and it shows often on day release.

Thing is people buy the under optimised untested crap because of the hype and FOMO.. and that's why developers feel they can get away with the crap they release.. as people still buy it..

So using your logic, if people had stopped buying untested un optimised crap, then the situation would have solved itself a long time ago.. and look where we still are..

Last 2-3 years have been fantastic for gaming for me. Thanks to RT/PT being in most titles, visuals have taken a leap into next gen world and makes the worlds more immersive thus more enjoyable, no more nasty raster ruining the game and ruining the immersion. I enjoy exploring the worlds way more now as things no longer look like a children's pop up book in terms of visuals.

I mean if people want to go back to playing this, then hats off to you

I got a super Mario 3D all stars for the switch from Santa. I remember Mario 64 being amazing but I couldn't play it due to how dire the graphics are :cry:

The most immersive games for me have not had RT or PT. For me, those are not something you have in lieu of good writing and or gameplay, I.e they do not cover up slop.

Of course, the game itself has to be good but if the visuals are broken/jarring, that's going to make it harder to get into to start with and if really bad, make it harder to stick with it. But then again, after having used/played with RT/pt on games for so long now, the raster drawbacks are immediately obvious to me now so it is even more jarring than before. Unfortunately very few raster games can pull of RDR 2 visuals...

This is where cloud gaming will perhaps be the saviour for pc optimisation/performance and thus even better visuals, devs would be in heaven having to only optimise for 1-3 rigs if the big 3 move to this approach.

Nothing will beat a big cardboard box full of goodies but those days are well and truly over outside of £250 special editions

The interesting thing is that GOG have a deal with Amazon's Luna cloud gaming service. Hence the only GOG game that's available on GeForce NOW is Cyberpunk (if I remember correctly).

GOG also just sold itself to itself,separating the platform from cd projekt. Wonder why.
