...is this too cheap or what? (RS6)

Looks like 2 of the tyres are mismatched, would want to replace the Conti/Dunlop to at least 2 of the same tyre.

Doesn't look too cheap with the mileage of 133,000 but it looks to have been well cherished and looked after. Same year with less miles seem to be around a grand more.

Nav looks like it is either faulty or missing the disk.

is £425 more but 35,000 less miles, would want to compare the histories tho.

Tempting, but then I would have no money left over each month due to the cost of running the thing!

Goodbye poor RS6. Nobody who could afford to run that will buy it, sadly.

It's no mans land when cars like the RS6 get this cheap.

Anyone who can afford to run one will buy a newer one.

Anyone who can just afford to buy one will ruin it, not spend the money required to run it properly.

Epic cars in every sense.

I feel genuinely sad they've come down to within the reach of the "It's an arr-ess six mate innit" crowd.

Looks like its been looked after but as said its in no mans land with the running costs. Just look at one of the bills the seller uploaded. Was nearly 2k.

2nd RS6 is a terrible advert compared with the 1st.

Some fool will buy it and be in for a rude awakening.

I'm one of the lucky ones that got out before it bit me :D

Shame because it went like a rocket in a straight line. My old M5 was still a better car to drive though.

It's an absolute minefield. It's a very good advert as LeMson says but there are so many things that could be wrong and could land you with a huge bill. Gearbox, turbos, intercoolers, suspension, etc.

I would advise before purchasing that you have a reputable RS specialist give it a thorough health check. If the seller isn't willing then walk away.

I did, as Fox says, have a C5 RS6 for a year and it did cost a fortune to run 'properly'. No matter how much you spend there's always another bill around the corner. Be ready for this and it will be a very enjoyable ownership experience.

Shame its not a saloon...;)

But tell me what 7-10 year old car with turbo is not going to be expensive to fix if a turbo or two blows or the gearbox gets lunched ?

Look at the Bill..tstat 30 quid. Waterpump 70 guy at my work paid that for the same parts for a corsa ...

I hate wonky reg plates it's a pet hate of mine.

Everything else has been said already.

But tell me what 7-10 year old car with turbo is not going to be expensive to fix if a turbo or two blows or the gearbox gets lunched ?

Agreed, those items are expensive to fix on most cars, the problem here is they are particularly expensive on an RS6. To replace the turbos is an engine out job and the gearbox going is more or a 'when' than 'if' situation. Add that to the general high cost of running (insurance, fuel, servicing) and then the additional issues related to theses cars (leaking DRC suspension, rear diff etc) and you are out of the territory of other '7-10 year old cars with a turbo'.

I can think of numerous cars that are engine out for certain jobs i.e cambelts, turbos etc.

Bilstein coilover kit 700 quid. I think you are over exaggerating the costs. Sure if you stick rigidly to oe parts then some will be quite dear.

Lsd / new gearbox on any car us expensive and could be engine out. Im pretty sure cars like celica/supra etc would have not dissimilar costs tbh.
