Is This True About SuperFetch?

i Find superfetch a complete pain. It can go on for hours unloading and reloading files. It will load games like crysis which I havent loaded for months and all my mame roms for instance (whole folders) its awful. Even having it set to cache boot only, it somehow goes onto other things. The hd access gets in the way of video capturing and editing too as the hd is messing with multiple files at once. I leave it dissabled now and the system is much more responsive and better for it.

Strange really as I have a crappy celeron/1GB Vista laptop and I don't experience this so-called thrashing [I did when I first got it but it turned out to be indexing rather than superfetch]. Then again, I usually use the hibernate option....

It would be good if superfetch had options akin to Eboostr, so it didn't end up prefetching random tripe like .avi's, mp3's etc.
