You should have pointed behind her with a horrified look on your face and when she looked back over her shoulder in alarm, leaned forward and pulled her zipper up with your teeth. Alternatively, cough the words "wardrobe malfunction" loudly as she walked past.
In reality, I often make it all the way to work before I realise my zip's down. It's not even on purpose. My wife gets more embarassed than I do when I suddenly curse loudly and pull my zipper up in public.

If you're implying that society's expectations of how we should act are now so strict that you felt that you were unable to tell her that her flies were undone, consider this, society's expectations are probably the only reason why she is wearing clothes in the first place
