Is throwing fruit peel on a grass verge littering.

Just wandered lol, my thinking is that it's biodegradable so doesn't count.

/makes mental note to dump a pile of rotting fish on your doorstep - it's biodegradable so it doesn't matter ;)

I would say that it counts as littering.

Main reason being that even though it is biodegrable, people looking to biodegrade stuff into compost and other useful things don't leave it lying on the side the road, keep it in special containers.

I always throw my dead pets & half eaten kebab & chip portions on the pavement, so I'd say it isn't littering, but then I'm daft:)

chips will get you into a lot of trouble

I was looking at a car in a garage the other day. Ended up buying it too - picking it up tomorrow woohoo! Anyway... I was checking the car out and I opened the bonnet and found a very charred chip sat in a little crevice on top of the engine. I don't know who would open the bonnet and litter chips in there. Weird.

Back on topic... It is littering, but it'll break down pretty quick so I'd say it's OK so long as it's not in plain sight.
