i need to RMA my 5 day old MSI 780 gamers edtion.
it's been great upto yesterday(saturday) and i played battlefield 4 for about 4hrs and it started to artifact,i did nt think anything of it,so i restarted my pc,and after 10 mins in the screen freezing,and now what ever game i play it just freezing all the time.So i think the best idea would to be RMA it,
would i be quicker to ring overclockers up and ask them what to do?

Yeah get in touch with OcUK, it's under 28 days, so doesn't matter what manufacturer it is, they will replace as soon as the RMA is processed their side, so like within a working week.
 
Because it's within 28 days, if you wanted you are entitled to a refund so you can go and buy a more reliable model (Which the MSI seems not to be :D 3 days? I mean, three frickin' days? :/).
 
just to give you guys a heads up,i will hold off a few more days,i reinstalled windows.and after 2hrs of game play is crash free,unlike before where it was 10 minutes.but it might happen tommorow i will have to see.
 
I hate windows at the moment.

The other day I had to re-install Windows 8 on my rig as it wouldn't let me access the store to download the Windows 8.1 update. :/
 
ive just been reading on other forums,and some other people have been having the same problem with the new drivers,so with me it could be driver related,i will wait and see if nvidia release another driver this month and try that.
also ive noticed some coil whine when playing batman now.does that mean that the card is buggered?
 
Coil whine can happen in GPU's so I think it's ok. :confused:

You'd have to ask someone who's had coil whine in their cards to see how long its lasted after the coil whine started.

Run furmark for 12hours, that'll sort it :)
 
Sorry for asking again :-/
Its about 30 mins now and the game freezes.the temp when it happens is 70 c and its not overclocked.just need abit of advice now really.i have been told it could be driver issues.and if I send it back and no fault I will get a charge.

it's all sorted now,after reading on different websites.i have found that its when im hitting 70c thats whats causing my freezing by the looks of things.maybe it's time for a new case for xmas then.i have a akasa eclipse 62 case.
but i will be in the case section now for help.
