Is to RMA?

If bought from OCUK as far as i am aware they will still hold warranty if you remove the heatsink
You could always try removing it & reapplying some thermal paste.

I have the same MSI card, removing the heatsink is just the 4 main screws on the bottom, you don't need to remove anything else, the black metal plating is separate. It's probably the easiest graphics card heatsink to remove
 
Ok thanks its a msi 780 gamers edtion.i will put some artic silver 5 on.but I cant see that making much difference. But I will report back to you.later to let you know how I got on

gone to remove it but there is a msi sticker on one of the screws saying viod if remove.guess i will leave that then lol

Didn't realise it was that easy.

Might put some liquid metal on there!
