Is working in Gamestation really that good of a job?

I worked part-time security and i had that wand. I was told to search everyone so you dont discrimanate, but i always waved that wond twice over the ethnics.

A couple of kids at the youth centre worked at 'Game' and I was shocked to find out that all staff were searched before leaving
NO WAY would I work for a company that treated you like a criminal/thief, shocking behaviour on Games behalf imho!!

i get searched every time i leave at WHSmiths :S lots of places do now

Fair enough. But who searches the searchers
At most shops it will be the management searching and they'll have to have their bag looked in by one of the people they're searching. It does seem common in retail, but I'm not sure how comfortable I'd be working somewhere that it happened.

When I worked in Woolworths we always got searched. One time when some money went missing we even had to take off our shoes.

Get a job and sell the keys on ebay half price. Win Win......

I don't condone this unlawful action mind.

I used to work there as well, never had any incidents with missing money while i was there but we all did have to open our bags on exit. Quite frankly if someone wanted to steal a dvd or other small item it wouldn't be too difficult as they didn't do pat downs or check pockets. although I suppose that would be a bit much.

I know all B&Q stores have a "pick a ball system". When you leave the store you put your hand in a bag and pick out a ball, green = go, yellow = pocket/bag search, red = car search. Didn't have a problem with it myself but they do catch a few people that way. Even though i didn't mind i thought the car search (open the boot and a quick look in the footwells) was going too far seeing as you have left the building.

Are you actually serious? wtf

They did the same when I worked at the purple shirt place in the 90s, plus metal detecting wands. Didn't stop the determined from getting things out of the building mind.

The car search seems silly. I would have made it Green = Go, Yellow = Pockets, Red = Strip Search.

The fact that the most attractive girls got the red ball most often would be purely coincidental.
