IS200 owners, looking for advice...

Get an IS300, so much better.

As long as your ok averaging 25 mpg. Mine made over 33 mpg on a long run, much better than my E46 330ci ever did.

There was obviously something very wrong with your 330i as they can easily exceed that, indeed the combined figure is higher than the Is300!

If you can live with an automatic I'd be more inclined at looking at IS300s.

I've never been convinced that a relatively high revving engine would suit something like the IS. The 2J in the 300 makes considerably more torque considerably lower down in the rev range. Plus you can tell people your car has the same engine as a Supra in it

The IS300 makes sense in ways the IS200 doesn't. It's still a thirsty car - excessively thirsty in my opinion compared to the competition but at least offers up the sort of performance you'd expect from a premium compact executive.
