Isle of Man TT

I'm good for a sleeping bag as I have an old German Tank drivers one rated to -40c, I've had it for donkeys years now, When I've used it fishing nights I've fell asleep just under my brolly & woke up still well warm but with a big puddle of water sitting on top of the bag between my legs & I'm bone dry, Just lift one leg up & tip the water off It even has arms in it & a zip along the back so you can get your calves & feet out & still run about. Folds up into itself as well & will sit on my rack lovely.
I'll do a spec me for a tent closer to the time so I get the best for my money.

I tell ya I could talk about the NW200 & the TT forever lol Only yesterday I watched an on board lap of Joey the Ledge Dunlop flying around the TT course on an old RC.
Then I watched Guy Martin & Michael Dunlop fight there way around the NW200. :D

Think I need to stop talking & start planning. :p

Carp fishing ?

How far ahead do yo have to book Ferry/place to stay etc ?

You need to book as soon as possible after this years TT to make sure you get tickets. We left it until November when we decided we wanted to go and it was way too late with virtually no ferry bookings left (even the week after race week had hardly any places).

I'm going again this year (28th May for 6 days). Been several times and used to live in Onchan where we did homestay. I usually camp at quarterbridge but doing homestay from the other side this year! (just off bray hill)

It's a must-do for anyone into bikes. Imagine a motorcycle theme park that's 30 miles long and you're along the right lines!

Here's a video to whet the appetite

Go on your todd - loads of people do. You're bound to find somebody to talk to. ;)

Hmmmm, might do... Is it too late to go to this years? I don't mind camping at all, will be going by bike.

If I wanted to go, how much roughly is it going to cost?

Camping (really not fussed where), tickets, ferry etc.

I doubt there will be any ferry places this late, I cant remember how much I paid now, maybe £200 or £250? included ferry and camping for 5 days I think it was.

There are actually sailings available, at least in practice week. Probably from people that never took up their deposits.

Enter 26th May and choose the £194 return deal and it will bring up TT 5 day returns where there are spaces. Camping would be about £10 - £15 per night. You should be able to get in at quarter bridge rugby ground, which is where I usually stay.

Edit - there are some in race week too, although you'd have to depart before senior race day

Anyone know of a place to stay overnight with secure parking for bikes that's not too far from the Liverpool port? (e.g. within 10 miles or so).
