One of my good mates got shot in Afghan, and he dies in my arms as i try to save his life.


You think its a kick in the balls coz you dont know if to get it on with your GF or fix your car!!!

Friday i meet a girl and we get on great...spend the whole day together..

Then my parents call me from the UK and tell me my grandads been taken to hospital..

Saturday (today) i meet the girl again and we get pretty close..

Then my parents phoned tonight and tell me my grandad died this morning..


How great is that.

We are prolly gonna get together tomorrow and im kinda dreading what news will come.

Here's me thinking close family members dying and then getting an unfortunate disease is a kick in the balls.

This weekend I had plans to work the whole weekend on my BMW 525i. It needs the fuel pump putting back in, a damn good wash and few bits and bobs.
So I gave my old man 450 Rand last night to go get my fuel pump back from the shop it got taken to, to get serviced today. He phones me to tell me the only guy that knows where my pump is isn't there. So Monday I have to get it. Thing is I work Moday - Saturday. So my car now has to wait until next Sunday. :(

Oh, and I wanted the ramps off his friend for my car. Was going to get them 30 minutes ago, however his friend is not there now. So thats next week as well! :mad:

But, next Sunday my girlfriend is round my house. I haven't seen her for 2 weeks. So I really want to spend the time with her, yet my var has been sitting for months now and this is the first time I've had a chance to do something to it.

Looks like the car is going to have to wait another week or two before I can work on it.

Now all I look farward to is with my girl seeing me on Sunday, next week..

Just pour a large one and chill out. Life is too short to needlessly stress out like this.

Is it within your control? No. Therefore, it isn't worth your time getting annoyed. The more you get annoyed, the more you work yourself up, the more you work yourself up, the more you get annoyed. It's a vicious cycle.

I prefer to take 5 and go and whack one off in the toilets. Very relaxing. Not so for people listening in neighbouring cubicles though.

I don't know why you think that is so bad. Try living in someone elses shoes for a week and see if yo uthink your life is so bad. Cos at the moment, it doesn't sound that bad. And I agree with Clearcut, why didn't you just say "car". Lol. :)

I can't think of anything worse than having a mate die in your arms after being shot.

yup, theres this girl who I think I love(she dosent know it yet) and the other night we were out drinking and she started to tell me how she has feelings for this other guy :(

Meh - My life has just got batter and better since september;

September; Split up with fiancie (sp?) - Yay!
October; All of semester 1 coursework done - Yay!
Novemeber; New girfriend whos just turned 18 - Bargain!
December; Great Christmas, great time with family and friends - Magic!
January; Pass all uni exams - Hench!
February; Turn 21, have an amazing weekend with some tripped out hippies and get absolutly wasted, gained a new perpective on the world - Revolution!
March; Split up New girlfriend due to the fact shes gettin irritating - Freedon Once More :)

See you can look back on anything and have good times, however I'm sure there were lots of bad and unfortunate moments in those months too - I just forget about them :)

3 months time you won't even remember about your current "Bad Place"
 
mate, life is not crap just cause you can't work on your car.

i have two friends who have just had their wifes diagnosed with breast cancer.
kind of puts everything else into proportion.

there is always someone less fortunate than you.
 
I have a suggestion :D
Why don't you and her both work on your car together :cool:
It will be a good bonding experience for the both of you :)

To OP: Grow up, you've got nothing to moan about. You've got an expensive car and you've got a girlfriend. Many people on these boards have neither. I'm sorry but you have no sympathy from me.

As gurdas said, it's a joke. Some people are complaining about the simplest of things which aren't even worth worrying about. The guy farther up the thread had a mate die in his arms. THAT is a kick in the balls. A few other threads, peoples parents have died or best mates. THAT is a kickin the balls. Not being able to work on your car because you have to go and do a job you 'love' is not a kick in the balls (ice, not you)... similarly, having a girl tell you she likes someone else, is hardly a big moment in life.

People need to take a minute to think about how bad something really is and realise that a lot more people have it a hell of a lot worse.
