No idea, just downloading it now
According to my iTunes is purely an update to the formula for calculating the signal strength. No point in updating on my 3G really is there?
Edit: Maybe some bug fixes but nothing highlighted other than the signal update

Getting a more stable signal, also the "death grip" defiantly isn't dropping as many bars.
I'm aware it's a hardware fault before someone says.

Same, I nearly threw it against the wall earlier it was that slow. I've given up trying to post on here with it because it freezes for a good 30 seconds every time I start typing! I've been laughed at for squeezing it and shaking it in anger!

Edit: Not sure I like the scale of these new bars. Reduces the sense of difference between them although I just dropped to 1 bar and it stood out more so I guess I can see why they've done it.

I'm not even going to pretend to know what they've done, all I know is this:
Before the update, in the house and here in the centre of London I had full bars. Never had any issues with the phone anyway but if I performed the so called "Death Grip" then I got "No Service".
After the update, at home I've 3 bars, in the centre of London I've 4 bars and the "Death Grip" reduces it down to 1 bar no matter where I am.
If it helps reduce (won't say stop) dropped called then that's good but as someone who never experienced it in the first place, it's just a normal update for me.
