ISO 4.0.1 is released

yup the changes have stuffed up 3g for me, thought they'd done something daft and changed the icon used to indicate detection but i just caught site of it again :(.

on the plus side it looks like they may have messed about the the calculations that indicate the battery usage %, as i've currently got an extra 10% showing at the moment.
 
If you want to read how exactly they changed the signal strength representation, then have a look here.

If anything they've spaced out the range more evenly, and even extended it beyond the old limit, so it may look like you've got less signal.. but it's more accurate and won't vary wildly.
 
Glad you posted that EVH, was about to myself, suprised more people were not aware of exactly what they done
 
Installed and has made no difference at all, still experience drop when I hold the bottom left and still shows same reception as before.
 
Just done the update and my Iphone 4 is no longer being detected in itunes:mad:but yet its charging and shows in My Computer.
 
My 3G is much quicker after 4.0.1, from the list of fixes on the OS though it doesn't appear to cure any performance related ones on the 3G or 3GS
