isp con ?

Hi All I know that this has been touched before in threads ,but i wanted to get feedbackk etc about it ,do you think that most if not all isps are throttling there service for p2p ? mostly at a peek time not everyday 24/7 ? i,m with Nildram ,and sometimes my downloads are great other times its slow and low ? :confused:

maybe its a con ,as most support will email you back saying no we never throttle our service on p2p.

if they throttle p2p then it should be in their terms and conditions

To be completely honest I think a CAP and Throttling is unfair.

You are simply hitting bottlenecks at peak times. ISPs are unlikely to be throttling specific ports, we never have. I have seen my 8mb con go slower than my old 2mb at busy times while using the usenet service... its simply to be expected as BT etc.. play catch up with the amount of data the average household now downloads from the internet.

It maybe fair if its done only at certain times if people are really taking the **** but the normal person is not rreally a worry in my eyes ..

right that sounds like a fair answer ,and i tend to agree with that ,i think its worse at weekends when every dad and his children are on the net ! might be why its slowerr ,not just a Nildram issue ,but an internet issue ? i know that my brothers kids are downloading everything plus the kitchin sink ha ! and this is all bandwidth .
