ISP monitoring

OK read a bit into this, the service doesn't put ads directly on your PC, what it does is change the adds that are already on websites, the Financial Times was one example. Rather than the adds being generic, they will be specific to you. But as mentioned above, a good ad blocker should keep them at bay.

when its all up and active just find the netblock the servers are on and block them with peer guardian, disable third parry cookies, and use the HOSTS file to block their domains.
 
if you use firefox, 2 words: adblock plus.

Unfortunately that doesn't stop them collecting the information on you, all it stops is the end result of that information gathering. Personally I refuse to give money to an ISP that is so cavalier with my privacy. Especially considering Phrom is a US company with a history of malware who operates servers in China.

Thankfully my own ISP (Zen) has alraedy said "No" to such a scheme.
