My Internet went off yesterday and my router was just constantly saying waiting for lcp to come up.I thought it might reconnect if i left it for a few hours, when i got back from work it was saying the same thing so i thought i would wait until this morning to ring isp.I rang them 11am and they said i was cut off because my ip had been reported by a company because it was sending out spam emails and it started in November and has been doing it in dec and jan.I have 3 pcs connected to my router one which is sisters pc and one is my mothers pc.The guy on the phone told me i should check all pcs for viruses ect.He said if it happens again we will block you again and if it keeps happening they will take action or sum thing along those lines.Anyone else had this problem? i am currently running Antiviri on all the pcs and ad aware.

No, I am very careful about what I open. I would run a full virus scan on all PCs, sounds like you have a virus and someone has taken over one of your networked PCs.

i have spent most of today scanning all 3 of the pc's my my house for viri, adaware, spyware ect and i haven't found anything apart from tracking cookies.I am not sure how this email spamming thing works so not exactly sure what they mean.I thought they could at least of contacted me before just blocking me and waiting for me to ring and ask what the problem is.Could entanet be wrong? and anyone got any suggestion?

do you have a firewall, ad if so is it setup correctly to block anything rogue that might be coming in? i'm guessing spam ony gets sent when your outlook is open, if so you'd notice your bandwidth being eaten up i guess.

I have a router which is netgear dg834g,and i run tiny firewall on the 3 pcs, avg, adaware i was told i should block port 25 on my router and i also uninstalled outlook express from the pc's.
