Jokester

i will look into Plusnet also looking into Zen and idnet

I'm an ex-Nildram user that had the constant disconnecting problem many users had whilst with them. I made the switch to Zen about 4 months ago and not had any trouble since.

i used to have plusnet although i dont play WoW i wouldn't go with them. didn't have a good experience when i went to switch to bethere and they wanted to charge my friend a disconnection fee.

steer clear

I'm using eclipse on their "Evolution Option 2" package and I get excellent performance. Generally speaking I get a stable line rate of 6 Megs, no disconnects and no in-game lag beyond the initial load-up of images/textures. I do tend to be in Orgrimmar just outside the AH when I log, so a little delay is not surprising. I'm on Azjul-Nerob BTW.

Been with zen for 4 years now and bar a recent dsl gateway prob its been fantastic.

WoW always runs great with usually about 60ms pings. I dont get dropouts in BWL or MC or anything ( touch wood ) and almost never get dropped from the server.

(Doomhammer server )

I am on Nildram and know there was some major problems a while ago with WoW (making it unplayable), does anyone know if nildram has fixed the problem yet? Last I heard thet were blaming it on Pipex/Telia and not wanting to do anything about it.

Im looking at Pipex for providing both phone and adsl package.

Anyone used them or know any problems i may have with them?

G/fs currently with Virgin.net and it started fine but major problems. It keeps dropping the connection between 5pm and 10pm, ive just got my other virgin account cancelled, its only taken me 10 months!! Retards the lot of them :)

Can recommend NTL, between me and my brother my must have like 4-5 months played time :S cant remember any issues with my connection to WoW during that period (although WoW's ISP (Telia I believe) was experiencing problems a few months back and since I have not played in a while I have no idea if they still have)

I know that a friend of mine is on Nildram (as I am but I don't play WOW) and he has no problems at all using their service when playing WOW. From a non-WOW aspect I think Nildram are very good. I don't get drop outs and I get a good, consistent and stable service. Their customer service is very good, prompt and helpful when contacted. I personally rate them very highly.

Aside from the fact that they have just implemented a cloak and dagger traffic shaping policy, go go 80kbps downloads using newsgroups or p2p on their 8 meg service..

Fine for gaming.

Downloads capped to 20kbs unless you have it encrypted.
Also seems to throttle the connection A LOT with certain bitorrent proggies.
(uTorrent + Shareaza, but Azeureus is OK...??)

So I do not recommend Pipex.
