Lately I have been having an issue with my system when I switch it on. Every 2 or 3 days when I switch my base unit and Monitor, the base unit makes the usual beeps like it is posting correctly but it does not send a signal to the monitor. This started to happen with my old Iiyama monitor connedcted via DSUB and is now happening with my Samsung LCD connected via DVI. My graphics card is a Leadtek 6800 GT and my motherboard is an Asus P4C800 -E -Deluxe and my PSU is a Super Flower Red 550W Power Supply.

If I turn the base unit off and then on again everything works as it should.

Any thoughts, as I was hoping that my current would survive until sometime next year when the Direct X 10 cards come out.

I had an old machine that did this on an asus motherboard. I never ever found what was wrong with it, it didn't matter what graphics card I had in it either, could be some cheap-o-nasty or something decent (so I dont think it was due to power in my case). Never found what was wrong with it :(. It was a different board though. Try re-seatting the card, though I'm not sure it will help. Other things I tried on my system were a change of PSU and updating the bios. No joy there either but you may wish to update your bios if you want, it may solve something?
