Appreciate the thought.
Cheers pal, I think right now all I want to do is see if my restart problems are resolved with a cheap GPU. I may go for the 710 as I can pick one up real cheap. The resolution is pants but I just want to know if the GPU was the cause of my issues. If not then I can start to look at what else could be causing my issues. You could get an rx 580 b grade for about £100 and if make them an offer less vat £80 . Will be good for 1080p gaming and then sell on or keep as a back up.

So I have just looked into it: apparently R7850 can do 4K on a single monitor (on Windows 7) if I'm reading this correctly: https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/his-radeon-hd-7850-card-can-it-run-dual-4ks.1674924/Yeah, what I was going to offer ain't going to work for you either at that resolution (XFX R7850 Ghost - only replaced it as it wasn't man enough for Forza Horizon 4 (well, the game wanted to run on low settings in my old rig)).
It's from about 2013 and I very much doubt that it is capable of 4K.

It's the oppositeI didn't read all the posts so forgive if I am way off on this.
Sounds to me like a cold start issue. By that I mean the PC works fine when it is at running temps but doesn't when it is stone cold. This is most likely any second hand boards you have.
Cheers pal. Appreciated the adviceAce, glad you're sorted bud
