Double check the memory are in the correct slots, I did this I built my I7 system.

Check all connectors are firmly in place.

Try a CMOS reset, sometimes works.

Hard to help with the limited info you have supplied.

Tell us in more detail what you have connected and what you haven't.

You have both the 24 pin and 8 pin power connector from the psu on the mobo?

a decent quality picture (atleast 4-5 mpixels if possible) of the board with all things installed as is would do a world of help along with the list of parts you have used for this build.

hardware currently in
Intel Core i5 750 2.66Ghz (Lynnfield) (Socket LGA1156)
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 4890 Vapor-X
Gigabyte GA-P55-US3L Intel P55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 Motherboard
OCZ ModXStream Pro 600w Silent SLI Ready Modular Power Supply
Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (HD103SJ)
G.Skill Ripjaw 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL)

Connected 24pin and atx_12v, all of the connections are tight.
When i turn the power on all the fans spin up, so does the HDD.the motherboard logo comes up on screen like its about to post start. there is a beep then five seconds after it just shuts off and restarts 3-5seconds after it turned off it seems that it will do this all day long. ive tried starting with just the gfx, 1 memory stick and cpu but still the same happens.

cant realy take picture my phone is rubbish + loads of messy cables in the case.

Cheers

I've used that board for someone else are the ram slots correct (1 and 3) for that one I believe

Yeah thats correct mate, i've had no other option now but to take it into a computer shop to get some hardware tested (my other friends are console fanboys) ram is ok just waiting to see how it goes with the other stuff.

Cheers
