Hi guys,

I have attempted to fill and run my loop for the first time today, after filling the loop with a decent amount of water (has both entered the outlet and exited appropriately) I have gone to switch the pump on for the first time to no avail.

The pump seems to not work at all, I have looked about and seem a few complain about dodgy pumps from xspc (specific to this unit and not) and I am really just hoping I don't have to now drain the rig to look at the pump or even worse replace it. To give you guys the best idea I can I will list the scenario and variables as best I can to give the best picture

Components
Individual blocks in system: 4 (CPU monoblock, 2 x GPU, 1 x RAM)
Radiators: 3 (1 x triple, 2 x dual and all 120mm)
Power supply: Corsair HX 1000 platinum rated
Connection to pump: SATA (recently this pump has been updated from a previous molex connector)

Scenario
- The pump is the only thing plugged in
- The supply is confirmed as working
- Attempted laying pc on side
- Attempted opening an air port at top of rig
- Shaked rig a few times
- tilted and tried to insert a screwdriver into pump outlet to jog it
- Switched between HX single and multi 12v rail
- loosened off the reservoir from pump a turn
- loosened off a very tight fitting (ball valve was tight to make up right)

I hope someone might have experience or knowledge of something silly I am missing here, the pump is not doing sweet f all and I see no other option but to drain and take the pump apart. If this is the case please advise on what to do from there.

If anyone can fix this for me in the least annoying way I will paypal them 4 quid for a guiness!

Many thanks!

Do you have both the sata power and fan header cable attached?

If you have the fan header cable attached to the motherboard try a different header.

For **** sake, I thought that was just for data since it only had one cable! I am right now the biggest monumental ******* on the planet. But you sir are owed 4 squid send me your email and you shall receive. I pulled the ******* thing out because I had the mobo unplugged, ahhhhhh I already removed the pump too lol as I am impatient. But it's quicker than a new pump I was about to send xspc a very horrible email.

Thank **** I am an idiot with access to forums

It's not a problem easy mistake to make I have had much practice with these units.

Don't worry about the money I just hope it solved the issue, enjoy your build.

Happy to help.
