Issue with overclockers bundle

Out of curiosity as I'm completely unaware myself, wouldn't flashing a new bios delete all saved profiles?

Yes it will do.

Missed the bit about it not getting to the bios but i do know from experience that the post on most new machines are so fast that its easy for it to quickly go past then start to go into windows.

I meant his OC profile. He flashed the bios then re-applied the OC profile. I wouldn't have thought there would be an OC profile for him to re-apply.

Sounds like you have installed it with the HDD set to IDE and the Overclocked profile is set to AHCI or vica versa.. Go to the bios and look for HDD settings and see if there is an option to change to IDE or AHCI and try that.

This.

Can't even get to the bios guys, it doesn't get that far. Just boots up and shuts down, boots up and shuts down.

I put my old mobo in and booted that up, worked fine so not a PSU issue or anything like that (old mobo is a striker !! with a Q6600 and 9840GTX.

Funny thing is tho I tried my GTX480 on that board and it won't work, so I put the new Mobo back in with the 9840GTX and still won't boot (can't even get to BIOS).

The new Mobo also has onboard graphics so plugged my monitor into that and it won't work.

So....looks like the new mobo and graphics card are screwed....all a bit wierd if you ask me....it all happened when I tried to load the profile 1 that came with the board.....

If he cant get into the bios then he cant change these settings

I really don't see how installing new windows 8 or any windows would reset your overclock, it just doesn't add up.

Try unplugging everything except video card, cpu and some memory and see how far you get, could as well be some faulty hardware.
