Not sure if this is the best forum section for this but its RAM based.
I have just built a new PC for my fiance, minus a graphics card but thats for her to save for, the spec is below.
CPU: Xeon 1230v3
M/B: Asus H87i-plus
RAM: Teamgroup Vulcan Gold 2133mhz
The problem I am having is that the RAM isn't running close to the speed that was purchased. When I first booted it was running at 1333mhz but I would like to get it close to the purchased speed, I activated xmp which has set it at 1600 but closer would be better. What am I doing wrong? I realise it may not be possible to run at its rated speed but it was decent RAM for a good price from Overclockers and I wanted to get her quality
At least she let me spend Valentines evening putting it together.....after she 'dragged' me to the lego movie
