Issue with Ubisoft and 2-step verification

I'm hoping someone here might be able to help me resolve a problem I have with 2-step verification. Basically, I set 2-step up on my Ubi account last year and installed the Google Authenticator app on my phone. No issues there. Last week I got a new phone. I wiped the old one and went ahead installing the apps I needed on my new phone, including Google Authenticator. I then visited the 2-step website, removed my old device and added the new one. I scanned the barcode on the website, as per instructions and my new handset was verified. Again, no issues so far. However, when I attempt to access my Ubisoft account either online or via the Ubisoft launcher, and I'm asked to enter the code generated by GA, it doesn't accept it! Anyone else had this issue? I've no idea how to get around it.

If you didn’t write down the backup codes, you’ll probably have to contact Ubisoft support. They take days to reply though. :(
 
As above, you'll probably need to contact Ubi support.

You should switch to Authy for 2fa since it has backups so no need to reset everytime you lose authenticator.
 
I finally got a reply from Ubisoft in which they told me to visit a link in order to verify my account. The link they sent doesn't work. I requested another one, that didn't work either. Yay Ubisoft...
 
Yep lesson I learnt other year when my phone took a swim in the pool whilst on holiday. GA is a very good system till you get a new phone! Need to remember to transfer the app correctly or in my case (and yours) spend ages going to the CS of EA, Ubisoft, etc etc.
