Whenever i play css i get slight pause's and judering ... anyone know why it does this ?
Res : 1280 by 1024
Refresh Rate : 75

HIS X850 XT
3200+
2gb ram

Lots of possibilities. Probably texture thrashing though, this is quite common on Source engine. do you get it in HL2 as well? Or just online?

If he's using 2GB RAM then I doubt it would be texture thrashing as he's not even touching the paging file really.

check your HDR settings. I had to turn mine off to get it working without stuttering.

Nah i always have HDR off on css i dont like it and my fps is normally 100+

Its not choke or loss either

I cant even take a screenshot of the problem bcas its impossible to catch it

Just tested Half Life 2 and that works perfect

Css Is the only game that has this problem

I'd reinstall CSS. It could be something as simple as a little install corruption.

Well ive fixed that problem but now my fps on dust 2 drops to like 30-40

I used to get 100+

The same settings as i used before :

4x AA 8x AF 1280-1024 all settings at High and HDR off

it could be you were using a config that lower some settings that werent used? which gave you the higher fps?

Nope all i used was config for my rates and crosshair

Which i have in my folder atm ... ive tried css without the config aswell and its still the same

Well i have tried everything -

re installed xp
re installed drivers (using driver cleaner everytime ive tried different drivers)
re installed counter strike source
ive tried puting my cpu and graphics settings to defualt just makes it worse...

Im totally
