Issues and advice for new kit needed

The H440 is bigger with more cooling fans installed.

If you go for the H340 then put the 2 fans already installed in the front of the case and you water cooler rad at the back or top, this should give better airflow . There is plenty of options to add more fans if you wish.

Would a GTX 970 perform better than a Radeon R9 380X?

OK, I've now purchased the NZXT H440 case and it's a real beauty.

Very final question — I can get hold of a Palit GTX 770 from a friend for £60.

Is it worth it and will it run fine in my new case?

Is there anything I should consider before buying it, i.e. will I need extra fans or anything for my case if the card is going to get quite hot etc etc?

Just looking at your desk, is it possible to remove the section that the monitor sits on?

If it is, you could remove it, then pull the desk out a little, put the PC on top of the desk and put the monitor standing on it.

And get the 970, it will be cooler and use less power.

I've just purchased the NZXT H440 and don't really fancy putting my monitor on top of it.
