Hi guys,
Trying to OC my E4300.
Situation is this - temps and everything are fine, Windows boots perfectly and I can game for hours with the CPU @ 320Mhz FSB to give 2.88Ghz, with 1.456 vcore, +0.1v on the FSB and +0.3v on the memory, with the memory multi/divider/thingy set to 2.66 giving a memory frequency of just 50mhz above stock.
However, sometimes when I close an application, I get a 'BAD_POOL_CALL' BSOD. This also happens if I clock the system @ 300Mhz FSB to give 2.7Ghz, but with the memory absolutely stock.
If I increase the vcore even a tad - ie, to the next option (Which is 1.462 I believe), the machine hangs just after the POS screen, right after checking to boot from CD.
Any suggestions? I don't appear to be having any cooling issues at all.
Gigabyte DS3, Core2Duo E4300 with Arctic 7 Freezer Pro, 8800GTS and 2Gb of OCZ PC6400 Platinum.
Thanks guys!
