Issues with build

Hello,

Q6600 @ Stock
Asus Maximus Formula mobo w/ Supreme FXii sound card
4GB 800mhz Crucial Ballistix ram
XFX 5770 @ stock
Seagate Barracuda 500 GB 7200 rpm
700W OCZ psu

Recently I have been having troubles with starting my pc, which I suspect has been caused by recently flashing my motherboard to the latest bios. (However I have tried flashing to three earlier bios versions but it doesn't resolve the problem)

When starting the pc for the first time the motherboard lights, cmos light and sound card all flash on and off quickly and the pc will not start. To get the pc to become stable and light up solid, I almost need to bump start the pc by holding in the power/reset buttons on the motherboard (Which is extremely annoying). Once the pc is powered on, everything seems stable enough, but when shutting the pc down the motherboard flashes for a while then reverts back to being solid lights and can then boot.

I have tried using the lcd poster issued with the board and I get a 'CPUINIT' error. I have searched for a while and the problem seems to have no specific cause, but as the error message implies it looks like the cpu is having trouble initializing.

Any help would be appreciated!

I tried breadboxing the pc, to single out a fault, but it hasn't solved the problem.
Tried just plugging the psu into the mobo and booting with one stick.

Last picture shows the lights flashing, with the 'CPUINIT' error on the lcd poster.
Very frustrating, I have no clue what is causing the problem so I can replace it.

Any ideas?

What I would do is press and hold the CLR CMOS switch for 30 seconds and then leave
your pc turned off for an hour, then when you come back to your computer do the same thing
again press and hold the CLR CMOS switch for 30 seconds then try and boot your system.

When your system turns on go straight into your BIOS, find your over-voltage settings
and set your memory voltage to 1.9v this should solve your problem and it should boot
up fine in future.

Cheers for the reply, I'll try that now.
Quick question; I did try taking all the ram sticks out of the system, but it still flashes and wont boot? So I asumed it's either the psu, mobo or cpu itself.
I think the ram is factory 2.2v, but I'll try 1.9v.

Ram has some really weird speeds :S They are matched modules btw.

Yeh if the Voltage of the memory is not changed then it can cous problems with the system.
Just drop it down to 1.9v and it should be ok bud
