Issues with IE6

Seems to be problems in IE6, with FF and IE7 it's perfect.

It pushes all the content to the bottom left under the navigation.

I thought it was a float issue at first but after double checking it all seems fine. Margins, sizes etc all add up too.

Could anyone else take a look? :)
 
this is just one of those typical ie6 problems that everyone hates, i am not knowledgeable anough to tell you exactly why it happens (although i would like to know :)) - but a good solid fix for this which is pretty good practice is to have the left column absolutely positioned (0,0) and to position the right column with a left margin of the width of the nav...

does that make sense? hope it helps :)
 
havent got IE6 but it definitely sounds like a box model problem. i.e. in IE it calculates the size of a 'box' differently to FF and IE 7. Google box model hack and see if that is any use.

that much is definate it is surely related to the box model problem, although i wouldn't hack it i'd just add the correct doctype :)

IE6 has different modes for rendering a document - one is 'standards' mode and the other is 'quirks' mode. The latter is for backwards compatibility, and means that if your document is rendered in quirks-mode it uses the old IE5 (incorrect) box-model. Standards-mode in IE6 uses the correct box-model.

So you should ensure standards-mode is enabled, and this is triggered by the doctype. See: http://hsivonen.iki.fi/doctype/

However, your doctype is fine - and should have IE6 in standards-mode.
 
I've checked in IE6 in Windows 2000, and it's rendering perfectly fine for me. Are you sure you've not got an old version of the CSS cached? Try ctrl-F5ing to see if that cures it.
